The magician starts with an envelope. He announces that in the envelope he has a picture of his assistant, a funny man who is going to perform magic today. He pointed out a sticker on the same envelope showing four different pips of the cards. The spectator now selects any one of the four pips. Suppose he selects the Hearts. The magician removes the funny man’s picture but unfortunately his face is sad. The pictorial man also holds a miniature playing card as prediction but the card is face down. So the magician says magic words. He taps the picture from the back. Presto! The picture magically turns out to be happy & the card he holds is now facing up to show the Red heart symbol.
