The magician inflates a transparent balloon. He then takes a long, sharp metal skewer and pushes it straight through the balloon. The skewer emerges from the other side without the balloon popping. Finally, the magician tosses the balloon into the air, and when it falls back onto the skewer... BANG! It bursts!
